How To Find Topics To Write About In Reddit

Writer’s block is a very real thing. I’m sure when it comes to your business, you struggle to find topics, ideas, and content to share. If content creation is a constant struggle, you’re not the only business person who feels that way.

As you are searching for interesting topics to share and you want to find what your audience wants to learn about. Something that you might not have explored for ideas yet is Reddit.

Reddit as “Inspo”

Reddit is a platform that is a community of communities. Where millions of different individuals gather around topics, and “subreddit” around common interests. Think forums or groups where you can mine for valuable content that your audience wants to know.

Regardless of your business niche, you will find content to share or write about in Reddit (even if it’s about dog training equipment or positive reinforcement).

How to use Reddit to find topics to write about

When you go to Reddit, the first thing you need to do is to search for your specific niche. This is how you will be able to find your audience and when you get to your audience. There are a few things that you need to pay attention to:

  • What are the questions that people in your audience are asking?
  • What is it that they’re looking for?
  • What is it that they’re trying to accomplish?
  • Finding out these questions will help you determine what your audience wants to know.

Once you identify those questions, you will need to figure the answers to them. This alone is a great content idea. Answering the questions that people have within your niche should be part of your market positioning. Let’s dive into some of the things you should look for.

What discussions are your audience engaging in? What is the general conversation about? This will tell you what they care about and what they’re passionate about. If they’re discussing it, that shows you what your audience is passionate about.

What complaints do they have? Of course, nobody likes to see complaints and negative reviews. But there’s value in it. Complaints are those specific issues that you could have an answer for in your target market. Being able to answer these issues can play a huge role in positioning yourself and your business as an industry expert. And that’s valuable in your marketing and even in your product offering.

When people are complaining about a competitor, that’s your opportunity to solve the problems that people have. When they’re complaining about a product, that’s an opportunity for you to learn and grow. Figure out how you can improve what you’re currently offering.

What topics are your audience most engaged with? Find topics your audience are engaging in discussion about. Follow the pasion. Writing about these will not only increase engagement, but will also help your audience trust you more. When you share something that they’re passionate about, it tells them that you care about them. You are more than a service provider or product seller.

Start exploring Reddit and looking at these four areas where you can gather ideas for your content.

Reddit is a goldmine of content to find topics to write about and discover what your audience is looking for, what they care about, and what they’re willing to engage with.

Take that and get to writing!
