What that means in practice
Semantic HTML with a logical heading structure on every page. Full keyboard navigability with visible focus states. Required alternative text on every image, enforced in our content system rather than left optional. Text color contrast at or above the AA threshold. Reduced-motion preferences respected: animation and cursor effects stand down when your system asks them to. Accessibility checks run as part of our build process, and every template is audited against axe-core.
Known limitations
Journal posts migrated from our previous site may contain older markup that predates these standards. We fix issues in legacy content as we find them.
